Virtual Tours and 360 VR Videos – Go There, Be There

I am really not sure how many people realize the way of the future regarding full 360 degree video and virtual tours overall but the time to pay attention is now!

Imagine sitting next to your loved one, friend, lover and recording the conversation with a single small camera that fits in the palm of your hand and then one day sitting down when they have passed away and putting on a small $20 VR headset and being next to them again. Looking in their eyes again, hearing their voice again… not just seeing them in a picture or in a standard video, being there and seeing them next to you.

Now imagine you have a need for your insurance company to cover your disaster that happened at your house and you can’t prove what you had or didn’t have and you need proof. Now imagine you had a virtual tour completed of your house that is so accurate that the square footage is down to less than 1 inch of accuracy. Or you are trying to sell your house and you continue to wait for a buyer because they can’t see themselves in your home.

Now imagine you have your business that you are promoting and want to spend as little money as possible to let people see how amazing your products are, or you see photos of your place on Google maps but you want people to see all of it, and not by users but an amazing walk through of your store.

There is a local company that I know that is currently doing this and it is about to explode! There are quite a few businesses doing this but overall companies aren’t seeing the potential.

If you watch a video like the above, there is so much you can do in order to see EVERYTHING!

1. Mobile (cell phone, tablet, iPad) – you can turn the device to look around, use your finger to look left, right, down, up.

2. PC \ MAC – use your mouse to look around by clicking and dragging your mouse around.

3. Cardboard VR \ Smaller Cheap VR Headsets – go to the video, tap the screen once and in the bottom corner you will see the little VR icon, tap that and hit play, place the phone in the headset and look around.

4. VR \ Oculus \ Meta devices – Go to YouTube VR and search for the video and play it and look around\be there virtually.
